LOS ANGELES :  All four Winston-Salem Open singles quarter-finals and both doubles semi-finals played on Friday. Top seeds Benoit Paire and Denis Shapovalov reached the semi-finals of the weather-hit ATP Winston-Salem Open on Friday, seeking a confidence-boosting title as they build towards the US Open. France’s Paire, ranked 30th in the world, survived an erratic second set to beat Spain’s Pablo Carreno - Busta 7-6 (7/5), 1-6, 6-3. He booked a semi-final meeting with American Steve Johnson, who downed Australian John Millman 4-6, 7-6 (7/5), 6-4. Paire is seeking his third title of 2019 after victories in Marrakesh and Lyon while second-seeded Canadian Shapovalov is in just his second semi-final of the season. The rising Canadian star hadn’t won back-to-back matches since reaching the last four in Miami in March. The 24-year-old from Hyderabad became the first Indian to achieve the feat by thrashing familiar rival Nozomi Okuhara of Japan 21-7 21-7 in one of the most lop-sided finals ever. PV Sindhu created dominating performance to outclass third seeded Nozomi Okuhara from Japan 21-7, 21-7 to win a gold medal in the World Championship s 2019 on Sunday. In the process, the fifth seeded  PV Sindhu bettered her 2017, 2018 appearances in the World Championships final and became the first Indian to win the marquee tournament. PV Sindhu, without breaking a sweat, closed the first game in 16 minutes. Nozomi Okuhara, on the other hand, continued to make unforced errors to allow PV Sindhu clinch the championship point and seal the final in 38 minutes. With the historic victory, the Rio Olympics silver medallist Sindhu leads the head-to-head battle against Okuhara 8-7. Visa has unveiled a suite of new security services and capabilities to detect and disrupt fraud threats targeting banks and merchants. These should help protect the integrity of the payments ecosystem by detecting and disrupting fraud threats targeting financial institutions and merchants. They are available to Visa clients at no additional cost or sign-up. “Cybercriminals attempt to bypass traditional defences by stealing credentials, harvesting data, obtaining privileged access, and attacking trusted third-party supply chains,” said RL Prasad, senior vice president for payment system risk at Visa. “Visa’s new payment security capabilities combine payment and cyber intelligence, insights from breach investigations, and law enforcement engagement to help financial institutions and merchants solve the most critical security challenges.” Among the free tools are Visa Vital Signs, which actively monitors transactions and alerts financial institutions of potential fraudule
